Great design, but ...

First a remark on the service of Serious Watches: it really is impeccable. Fast, beautiful packaging and always with that nice snack.
Now about the watch. Design- and quality-wise a great watch with nice details such as the bi-directional internal bezel, textured dial and lume in the crown.
Btw. when adjusting the wristband, be advised the pins are actually screws. Some where rather easy to unscrew, others were really tight. To be safe I unscrewed all and secured them again with some Loctite 243.
The lume differs a lot: the hands are very bright, the indices less so and the bezel is rather weak. Not that I mind, good lume on the hands is the most important for me.
All in all a great watch but maybe a bit over-priced. Quality-wise there are similar watches around for 2/3 of this price. Design-wise ... that is a different story, the Azores is one of a kind !

De NTH Azores Blue Curaçao No Date is een prachtig duikhorloge in vintage stijl uit de nieuwe NTH Tropics lijn.

De NTH Tropics werden geïnspireerd door de duikhorloges die populair waren van eind jaren '50 tot midden jaren '70, waardoor een iconische ontwerp ontstond.

Elk Tropics model heeft dezelfde dubbele kroon, 40 mm kast met rechte lugs, dubbel gebold saffierglas en een met duikbel gegraveerde achterdeksel.

NTH gaf de Tropics 200 meter waterdichtheid, een interne bezel met lume en een nauwkeurig, automatisch Miyota 90S5 uurwerk. Ze voegden hier klasse aan toe met getextureerde wijzerplaten, toegepaste indexen en een band in vintage stijl met dubbele vergrendeling op de gesp. Deze horloges worden ook geleverd met een rubberen tropik bandje, om de vintage look compleet te maken.

De NTH Tropics combineert de mogelijkheden van een duikhorloge met het meer discrete profiel van een moderne dress watch, waardoor het een goede metgezel is voor de moderne sporter.
